Microsoft Teams video meetings without an account - how does it work?

To do this, the option that participants can also join an online meeting anonymously must always be activated on the Office 365 environment from which the invitation is sent (within the Microsoft Teams Admin Center).

Participants can then simply start and join the Teams meeting via their own browser (e.g. Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome) using an invitation link. The necessary steps are documented in this article from Microsoft.

How to give contacts without a Microsoft account access to the online meeting

Step 1:

Organizer generates a Microsoft Teams Online Meeting and sends the invitation (incl. link) to the participants by e-mail.

Step 2:

The participants open the link at the appropriate time to start the meeting.

Step 3:

The participant grants access to their audio (microphone) and video (camera; optional, if desired).

Step 4:

The participant dials into the meeting (Join Meeting).

This makes it simple and straightforward to set up a meeting with different parties and anyone (without any special requirements and based only on their browser) can simply take part in an online session. Naturally including audio, video and screen sharing options.
